FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RX Fitness celebrates rebranding as official affiliate brand CrossFit Johor Bahru. Taman Perling, 23 June 2018 - RX Fitness celebrated its affiliation with international brand CrossFit at its functional movement studio ‘box’ in Taman Perling. A talk on Nutrition was held by the Head Coach followed by a session of family-friendly games. Adults and children alike participated in fun strength games such as arm-wrestling and tug-of-war. Following the Hari Raya season, Raya food was served but with a CrossFit healthy twist – rendang and lontong sans the fats, substituted with healthy alternatives. CrossFit Johor Bahru is the one of two official CrossFit boxes in Johor. There are only 11 CrossFit affiliates in Malaysia. Unlike traditional gyms, you will find not many machines. What you will find instead is an open space, a whiteboard, and a timer for group Workout of Days. It is also home to The Octagon, the first multi-purpose fitness rig in Malaysia. A coach is available for classes to guide you through forms and techniques. This way, you will not be lost in workouts – especially if you are a newbie. In conjunction with the rebranding event, CrossFit Johor Bahru introduced two new programmes: 1) Slim & Strong Programme - a customized half-year fitness plan. Trainees will sit down and discuss goals and be advised on nutrition. 2) CrossFit for Ladies – CrossFit workout for ladies only, led by our two female coaches. Available on Thursday nights from 8 – 10 pm, men are not allowed. Head Coach, Didi, “We are not only working towards fitness but we are also working in prevention against cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, muscular atrophy, and other by-products from the sedentary lifestyle.” CrossFit Johor Bahru operates from Monday – Saturday with 15 classes per week. Free Introduction to CrossFit session available.
